Before I started my company, I worked with a charitable OISC-registered organization and supported vulnerable clients with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) attached to their Leave to Remain in the UK.
I am an expert in this field and was involved in a research project at COMPAS & University of Oxford "Understanding Migrant Destitution in the UK": https://www.compas.ox.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/UMDUK-Research-Findings-2024.pdf
If you are in the UK on a student, work, or family visa you are likely to have NRPF. It will also be imposed if you have Leave to Remain in one of the following categories:
Spouse/Partner of British Citizen;
Parent of British child;
UK Ancestry visa;
Hong Kong British Nationals (BNO).
In some circumstances, you may be able to make a Change of Conditions (CoC) application if you or your children are at risk of destitution and require access to public funds. You can apply online using the form on gov.uk:
You can normally make an application if you have Leave to remain on the basis of your family and private life in the UK (spouse or parent visas, 5 or 10-year-route), you have a Leave to Remain as a BNO national, or you have some exceptional compelling reasons which would require you to access public funds.
At First Class Initiative, we can assist you with a Change of Conditions applications and Fee waiver applications at a discounted rate. Please give us a call over +447523281911 to discuss how we can help.
